Their work in Iraq is finished, and now they’re home.

Two flights of more than 200 Airmen returned on Dec. 20 to a celebratory atmosphere at Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport.

A crowd of family members, USO volunteers, co-workers and well-wishers greeted the Airmen as they made their way through customs and into the lobby of the airport.

The Airmen belonged to units that helped to shut down U.S. operations in Iraq and were the last of the Air Force contingent to leave the country.
